I received LOTS of great things at my shower!!!

The table was so cute!

The closest thing to sisters I could ever ask for :)

How creative is my Aunt :)

Adorable!

The nursery...all finished!

Even had enough fabric to make a slipcover for the foot stool.

If you can't tell the theme is rocking horses, we didn't plan it that way...it just sort of happened. Come to find out though that's what Daniel's nursery was decorated with! Like father like son!

Still looking for pics to hang over the crib.

Tracie also made pillows from the valance we didn't use.

I helped with the picture frames..that was the extent of my crafting ability!

Drapes and more drapes. I'm really happy with the way the nursery turned out! All we need now is the baby to go in it!!! :)

The bedding is in!! The hardest part of getting Paxton's nursery ready is getting all of my stuff out of the spare bedroom!! I still have a ways to go but at least it's a start! The drapes will be different once Daniel's mom gets them finished and she is recovering the lampshades as well. As far as the "room accessories" go, I have a few things but I'm waiting to see what else I acquire :) I also have the letters for Paxton's name to hang above the crib, they are painted but I just have to find some ribbon to hang them with! I feel like the hardest part is over tho..finding the crib bedding! This is so much fun!!

The Beginning of Paxton's Nursery

It will all come together...it will just take some time! I have picked out the fabric. Daniel's mom has made one cushion and is working on the the cushion for the couch, it will be the same fabric used for the rocking chair. She is also making drapes for us which is a different fabric but uses the same colors. I'll post pics when they are completed. As for the bedding, I think I have settled on one that will match pretty well but I haven't ordered it yet. And, I'm not real sure on how to set up the room...seeing as how I have a lot of furniture! Like I said, it will all come together, it will just take some time. I feel much more at ease knowing that the fabric is picked out, now I just have to get to organizing!!!

Fabric for the rocking chair and the lounge.

Getting Ready!

We bought a crib!! I know it seems a little early but we stopped by Baby USA to take a look and they happened to be going out of business...so we got our crib very much on sale!!
We have decided to use the white wicker either way (boy or girl). The only decision still pending is on the fabric. Daniel's mother is making the bumper, dust ruffle, drapes, etc. for the room. Here are the two fabrics to choose from (the coral is obviously for a girl and the blue/yellow/green is for a boy)....Take a look and let me know what you think.

First Timer

This is my first post! I have created this so family and friends who are not near can be kept up to date on the happenings of our addition! And also for my students! Many of them are dying to know the sex of the baby and I will not find out until after school is out. I promised them that I would start a blog so they could check in June to find out if it's a boy or girl!

Our last OB appointment: The Dr. said the baby sounded HAPPY from the heart beat :) Everything looks great and she assured me by the next visit I would be in stretchy pants and start looking pregnant! Haha. My next appointment is scheduled for June 23rd at 3:30 for some this is a confirmation of a girl and for others the hopes of a boy! Daniel and I really just want a happy healthy baby!!!

I'll keep you updated!
